All roads lead to Rome…and last Friday we packed our bags and hit the road! Invited to join a talented group of food & travel bloggers/writers for a weekend of events & tours highlighting Rome in the winter; we visited little known neighborhoods, ate TONS of food, zipped about on Vespas, ate more food, learned a bit of history and made new friends…and then ate just a bit more!
Everyone was busily tweeting, snapchatting & instagramming away using #winterinrome as our weekend hashtag. If you’re an instagram lover like me – you can follow everyone here: @travelsofadam @staialborgo @toomuchtuscany @_lostinflorence @blogciaotutti @romewise @miss_disk @thebeehiverome and @ashleybartner (me)
Here are a few of the greatest hits:
Kitchen Confidential: looking inside the tiny back room making good Roman food. On a recent Twilight Trastevere food tour with @eatingitaly this weekend we sampled freshly fried artichoke (in season) washed down with sparking wine. Da Enzo is a family run eatery with only a few tables of exquisite Italian fare in the heart of the Eternal City #TLPicks #winterinrome
Started the day in #Rome with a fabulous food tour through the #Testaccio neighborhood with @eatingitaly then hoped on a #Vespa for the best part of the day – an amazing ride around the city as dusk with @scooteromatours! Took tons of film of it all to share with you when we get home! Loving #winterinRome!! Thank you @thebeehiverome for organizing it ❤️👏👏!!
TONS more to come – I’ll share with you all the photos & videos and details on the tours and where we stayed!!
